Upgrade your home, with soundproofing double glazing
1990’s building regulations made double glazing a mandatory requirement across the new build market, and since April 2002 it’s been compulsory for all homes in England and Wales with replacement glazing to comply. Double glazing ensures adequate thermal, safety and ventilation standards are adhered to, via two layers of glass separated by a gas filled space.
Increasing in popularity partly due to Britain’s brisk climate, our double glazed collection offers superb thermal efficiency. Utilizing two panes of glass within the frame of a window or door, this second layer will never affect your ability to enjoy large sunlight entry or open outside views, but will result in U-values as low as 1.1 W/m2K.

What are the benefits of double-glazed windows?
Double-glazed windows offer several benefits over single-glazed windows, including:

What’s the difference between double and triple-glazed windows?
The physical difference between double-glazed windows and triple-glazed windows is very simple – double-glazing has two panes of glass whereas triple-glazing has three panes of glass.
What U-values can double and triple glazing achieve?
The U-value measures the rate of transfer of heat through a structure, divided by the difference in temperature. On average, single glazing has a U-value of 5.6, double glazing has a U-value of 1.1, and triple glazing has a U-value of 0.6.

Why do my double glazed windows get condensation?
If you have condensation on your double-glazed windows, they may be faulty. Condensation on double-glazed windows happens when the sealant around the windows isn’t working and is letting air into the space between the window panes.
